Carports, garden rooms, gazebos, and full oak framed homes – 2024 has been another year of growth for us, both in the scale of our projects, and our turnover. We have completed some wonderful projects which we are proud to add to our portfolio, and are ending the year having secured some very exciting work for the beginning of 2025.

2024 has also been a great year for our entire team and their professional development. Blake has completed his apprenticeship and has been welcomed as a full time member of staff, and Ross, our original porch guy has stepped up and taken the lead on some of our larger frames and more complex projects.

Below is our roundup of the year, summarising some of our favourite projects completed over the past 12 months.

January & February

We had a busy start to the year completing a beautiful mansard garden room, a 6 bay carport, and a Douglas fir framed summer house cloaked in oak.

The oak framed mansard garden room benefits from a beautiful roof lantern, offering maximum light, and creating a big beautiful living area with stunning countryside views from every angle. This was repeat work from our first ever garden room project customer, meaning that this house now benefits from an oak framed glazed extension to both the front and back of the house.

The 6 bay carport was constructed in oak at the front with the internal frame constructed from Douglas fir, as a cost saving measure. With storage built into the corner and cladded in beautiful larch Yorkshire boarding, this carport is a showstopper.

The Nettleton based summer house, nestled on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds is glazed on 3 sides to enjoy the gorgeous views and stunning garden setting. Completed with a warm cedar shingled roof, electric radiator, and double glazing cloaked in air dried oak, this is a warm space for Sally to enjoy her garden across the seasons.

March, April & May

As we entered spring we had our pre-summer rush of completing garden structures before the good weather kicks in. This year we completed 2 oak garden gazebos. One in a modest courtyard garden, and the other a large manor house garden, but both offering a beautiful setting for outdoor living whilst providing shelter from the inevitable British weather.

This spring we also constructed and fitted a 2 storey oak frame extension for a new build property offering floor to ceiling natural light in the kitchen, and full oak cross frame with raised collar truss in the master bedroom above. In addition to this we provided oak purlins, an oak mantle, and oak doorway, giving this new build home punches of character across the beautifully decorated property.

June, July, August

Summer saw us once again attend the Lincolnshire show. Graced with sunshine for both days we had a great time chatting to everyone about their projects and home plans, as well as launch our new traditional porch range, and accept our first order.

Over the summer we also got started on an oak framed extension in Tetney, complete a beautiful douglas fir fish pond gazebo, an oak pergola, and finish our second mansard style garden room of the year.

September/October

Autumn was a busy time for us as we pushed on to complete the oak framed kitchen extension. We also completed and fitted 4 oak king post trusses for a new build home, and one of our most significant porches to date.

October was also a great month as Blake completed his apprenticeship and we welcomed him on board as a full time and fully qualified member of the team.

The porch install completed in October was one of our largest to date offering an impressive welcome to a new build home under construction. This project was led by Ross who completed some impressive chainsaw work to achieve the deflections required, and resulted in some very happy customers. We look forward to seeing the completed home with this impressive porch!

November/December

As we roll towards the end of the year we kicked off November exhibiting at the Harrogate home build and renovation show for the first time, where we had a very busy few days chatting to people about all of their exciting plans.

We have now reached completion on the oak framed home extension with full new kitchen in Tetney. This has been both a great project to add to the portfolio and wonderful customers to work with. We look forward to revisiting in the new year to get some final photos and to share the details of this exciting project.

November also saw the completion of our first flat roofed gazebo with beautiful oak mouldings and fibreglass roof, creating a beautiful undercover patio area. This is the third project completed for this customer which we believe reflects well on us and our team for the work they deliver.

Our final install of the year was a douglas fir framed 2 bay carport with storage. This frame incorporated 2 king post trusses and a larch cladded secure storage area. We look forward to revisiting this project in the new year when roofed and complete.

We are now finishing the year getting the workshop organised for a very busy start to 2025. Our first projects of the year include a garden centre café extension, an oak folly with crook frame, carport with storage, and frame for a new build house.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our customers both new and returning for supporting us across 2024 and our wonderful team for a year of quality  projects and happy customers! We are all very much looking forward to a Christmas break before kicking off 2025 with a bang.
