Burton Orangery

This orangery was designed as a replacement to an ageing and very inefficient conservatory, that, due to its location in a conservation area and on a grade II listed property, required a careful design to ensure it could proceed through planning.

Due to a family wedding and a lengthy planning process, the deadline for construct and install was very tight. We were able to construct the frame in our workshop in Lincolnshire and get it built up on site very quickly. Even with the weather against us, some last minute purchases of gazebos to keep our tools dry while we worked, we finished construction with time for even the wood burner to be fitted prior to the wedding.

This beautiful oak orangery, in a stunning spot in Burton near Lincoln, benefits from an internal oak truss and oak patio doors leading out into the garden. Direct glazing enables the green oak frame to age and move without any detriment to the glass, and air dried oak braces add both structural integrity and character.

Key features include;
– Oak framed orangery
– Oak king post truss
– Direct glazing
