Passionate Pets, Teversal

We were approached by Paul to look at a commercial timber framed building. He had planning permission in place for a standard steel shed, but wanted to look at an oak framed alternative.

The challenge with this site was the low pitch and wide span we had to work to. We came up with an aisle barn design, to allow for the 13m span and 20° pitch. We took this project through design and structural calculations, working with Paul to ensure the structure would meet his requirements and budgets.

We constructed the frame in our workshop, and transported it to site in a kit form. On site we built up the segments of the frame in to 4 main sections. These were craned into place in a day, along with the ridge beam, and purlins.

We since added a mezzanine section to create an upstairs to this characterful petshop.

A stone plinth wall constructed around the edge of the frame, complements the wany edge cladding and pantile roof.

The overall effect is a beautiful oak framed commercial shed with scope for home conversion in the future.
